The Design

Haritajali — meaning “the green lattice” — draws directly from the great tradition of Indian jali craftsmanship: the pierced stone screens of Mughal architecture and Rajput havelis, rendered here as a wearable gold ornament. The earring opens with a French hook, descending into a diamond / four-pointed star shaped filigree plate worked in open scrollwork arabesque — symmetrical curling tendrils that frame four open lobes around a central void. The plate is flat, lightweight, and architectural, casting a delicate shadow against the skin.

Below the jali plate, a large faceted green onyx trillion cut stone hangs from a wire loop — its deep, saturated forest green surface cut into a triangular trillion form that maximises the stone’s translucency and allows light to pass through its faceted interior with exceptional brilliance.
