The Design

Dvihridaya — meaning “two hearts” — is a three-part drop earring built on a simple, deeply felt premise: two gold hearts in cascade, each one fully puffed and three-dimensional, and beneath them a single large stone that makes the two ears intentionally different from each other. The large heart stud top sits flush at the lobe — smooth-domed, its surface in a matte satin finish that absorbs rather than reflects light, giving the gold a warmth and softness quite different from high-polish pieces. From its base, a small puffed heart hangs freely — the same form in miniature, swinging with movement and catching light differently from its larger sibling above. From the small heart, the stone drop: a large faceted oval in a plain flat gold bezel, its face fully faceted, its colour the defining element of the asymmetry.

The two ears are deliberately mismatched: one carries a lemon quartz oval — pale yellow-green, translucent, its facets throwing cool citrine light — and the other carries an amethyst oval — deep purple, translucent, its facets glowing with a rich violet depth.
